Why is boot-pool/disk missing from various parts of the UI?

I am running TrueNAS Scale ElectricEel-24.10.2.

Questions

  1. Why does the UI (Data Protection → Scrub Tasks) not allow me to see, set, or change Scrub tasks for the boot-pool? If the reason is it’s because the OS wants to manage it, due to its importance, it would still be nice to see that there is a task and what the schedule is. My only clue that there is a scrub task for the boot pool is I see it in the notifications when completed.
  2. Why do the storage widgets in the Dashboard not allow you to choose the boot-pool?
  3. Why is the boot-pool not shown in the Storage Dashboard? I get that the user shouldn’t be messing with it, but it would still be nice to see data about the pool, especially ZFS Health and Disk Health.

Can’t anwer 2 and 3 but for 1, truenas automatically sets a scrub task for the boot-pool. It runs every 7 days. The interval can be changed under system → boot → top right conrner of the screen → stats/settings. next to stats/settings is the tab to show if the boot-pool has read/write/checksum errors.
