Dear all,
I’m self-hosting TrueNAS Scale from one year, structured in this way:
- boot pool: #1 SSD with TrueNAS Scale (pretty sure was last update at that time)
- HDD pool: #2 HDDs with all the files, mainly 2 dataset (Files and “ix-applications”
my SSD get burned for no reason → seems impossible to retrieve datas from that (removed and plugged to other systems display no device attached).
Bought two new SSDs and reinstalled TrueNAS Scale 24.10.2 into a boot pool.
System start perfectly and I have imported flawlessly my HDD pool with ix-applications and File folders.
Of course a wise person should have saved the TrueNAS configuration (previous installation) in a safe place to restore the configuration and hopefully restore my entire system at a glance.
BUT
I have no configuration file!
So the question is: my main applications are standard from TrueNAS Scale appstore (Nextcloud, Jellyfin, NPM, …): is there a way to restore the application setting (and data) from ix-applications folders (or HDD dataset snapshots) in order to restore my services?
And, of course, the second question: how to regular save and store config file of TrueNAS installation? Would be great to send to email address and/or save to HDD pool
