Following the release of 25.04.2 yesterday a few issues were reported by the community, thank you to all the community who promptly reported these issues and helped identify the cause of these issues. This list is not comprehensive, a link to the release notes for 25.04 is provided below

NAS-136941 Virtual Machines: Cannot Retrieve Response UI response on Virtualization UI

  • Impacts VMs created without VNC passwords on older releases where this was not mandated

    • Workaround: Rollback to 24.10 and apply password to display device for the VM(s) before updating

  • VMs VNC port validation failure due to invalid display device port range (>=5900 <=65535)

    • Impacts VMs created prior to the port range validation (23.10) implementation
    • Workaround: Rollback to 24.10 and set the port for the VM(s) display device to within allowed range

NAS-136939 Historic VM entries on systems migrated prior to 25.04.2 may be seen in Virtualization table

  • VMs created prior to 25.04 which were upgraded to 25.04 releases prior to 25.04.2 may see historic records in the virtualization table
    • Usually the errors are “EFAULT” because the underlying resources were deleted after the user migrated these to incus, entries can be deleted.
