25.10.0 snapshot regex error

After upgrading to the official 25.10.0 release, I got this error:

* Replication "Bunnies - Wolves/Bunnies" failed: When parsing replication task task_1: periodic-snapshot-tasks can't be used with name-regex..

This snapshot test worked fine in 25.04.2.4 (and many earlier versions).

When I try to run it, I get this completely different error:

Is there a reason this is happening now or a way to fix it? I reverted to 25.04.2.4 for now because I wanna make sure I’m backing up my pool.

Same issue here, I made a bug report so let see.

Not sure if I reported this one. Feel free to report it for me if I didn’t!

Issue closed on Jira (btw, I’ve never seen such an counterintuitive system for bug report).

It seems that’s how it’s intended.

It still not clear to me why it has changed with 25.00.
