Adding a Zvol from another pool to a VM not possible!? Why!?

All my VM’s are situated on a fast NVME-based pool. Most VM’s do not need much storage so that is not a problem.

However some VM’s do need more storage like syncthing or nextcloud.
That kind of storage is available on my HD-based Z1-pool.

So I intended to add a Zvol based on the Z1-pool to my syncthing VM …
and up to my surprise !! … at least via the GUI that seems impossible …!!!
(Dragonfish-24.04.2.2)

I really do not know why … and I do not like it at all!
So why …
Can it be done via the command line …
Should it be a change request …

So, you are saying you created a zvol on the Z1 pool, and you can’t add it to the VM? I can on same Dragonfish so that is confusing to me. Just want to make sure you created a zvol on the Z1.

Oeps!!! Very Very stupid !! It was a gui thing, the Zvol’s related to other Pools were sorted below what was visible in the GUI.

Excuse !

Aha! Didn’t guess that resolution, but glad you got it sorted.
