Every time an app is upgraded it creates a new snapshot set to never delete. I have apps that are upgraded often and as such there are a lot of snapshots. Is this intended personally I would like it to keep a couple but I have no need to go back 20 upgrades. It seems like a good option would be for you to be able to set a “keep X snapshots” option. Is this a bug or a new requirement request?
It has always been this way and there are many posts in the old forums as to why it’s bad overall.
I would agree there should be an option to keep the first snapshot when the app is installed and then x snapshots afterwards. I typically like to keep a few snapshots for each of the apps I have installed, because there are occasions the app update is broken and there is a need to roll back. I have absolutely no need to go back 50 or more snapshots of an app and there is no real need to keep that many snapshots of an app anyway. The current app either works, or I go back to the previous that worked or the one before that.
It would also be nice if the rollback to snapshot xx was in latest to earliest in the rollback to dropdown as typically you want to roll back to the last or previous to last snapshot not some really old snapshot.
As it is I just go through the actual snapshots page and delete the app snapshots every so often. It’s a small pain, I will also say many people don’t know they need to do ths and end up with enough snapshots to fill a wheelbarrow.
