Hi there I’m looking at this board TrueNas Core 13 and wondering if this Broadcom Chip set with work fine or has anyone used this board etc and comments before I go ahead and purchase this for my upgrade build. Thanks in advance.
There seems to be a problem in 13.0.

In 13.3 there appears to be a workaround.
Would it be more suitable to upgrade to TrueNAS Scale 24.04.2 for use with this above motherboard I’m considering to purchase. OR what Motherboard is recommend that has a 10Gb onboard to use?
Currently looking at this board too, and was very tempted to go with it purely for the built in 10gb. However from experience I always prefer to stick with Intel NICs now, so will more than likely settle on the basic motherboard in their line up. It’s only for a backup server so network speed isn’t crucial.
If the board had an x8 slot instead of the top x4 slot then it would be perfect to chuck in a NIC. Yes you can still get x4 10gb cards but not as much choice from what i’ve seen. I suppose you could use the x16 slot but depends what else you want to use the board for, like a HBA card for example. Would be curious to see if these boards and new epyc CPUs become more popular
