After creating a virtual machine I am trying to add a Raw File device to the VM. However, when using the Add Device UI and specifying a path to create the file I get the error “Path must exist when “exists” is set.” However, there isn’t any field in the UI called “exists” and the “info” popup says “…

I believe the TrueNAS ui will only allow you to add zvols as disk devices. You could write the raw file to a zvol using dd
