Cant seem to find m.2 ssd on my server even though the bios shows it

i’m quite new to truenas and hadn’t messed with it for a while due to the fact i didn’t have a bigger storage drive till last night (from 256gb sata external enclosure to 1tb m.2 internal) and now that i have one and installed it. its not showing up on the webhost side of things and it will not let me add it though there. also i’m running my server off of an old alienware laptop from 2019 that has like 16gb of ram (which is planned to be upgraded later on but ram prices are higher than normal atm)

How many drives do you have ?

If only 1, then that is the reason. If you have more, more details about what you are doing to install TrueNAS and configure it are needed.

One drive for the OS, other drives for data.

its the second data drive its an nvme m.2 1tb and its a replacement/upgrade from the sata 256gb that i hooked up through a usb enclosure, its popped up on a different machine as i had to reformat it/clear it of windows as i got a better drive that i cloned the data to but didn’t want to throw out this drive so i reused it for data on truenas server. but its not showing in the gui even though it shows on the bios of the laptop thats the server and even tried to load into windows recovery manager once when i didn’t know that i hadn’t fully cleared the drive of data before the install on my server

i’m also trying to set this up as a private local game server for like palworld , minecraft, terraria and others but nothing too crazy as because its 2019 laptop hardware limitations i’m having to deal with

I had a similar issue, the solution was to disable “Intel rapid storage technology" in the bios…
