Great job @Stux @HoneyBadger @DjP-iX!

You know me, I want OCI support in Incus.

Anyway, lot of great insight and ideas. I liked it. I think Incus brings TNS back to where it was originally envisioned being able to Scale out or up. I think it brings in a lot of flexibility. Looking forward to the future updates and having fun figuring out playing with it.

Amazing episode as always!

I agree with @Stux that my (when money and time are be no problem) dream would be that TrueNAS could one day be more or less as good of a hypervisor as proxmox.

For me containers are also way more useful than VMs. I have 15 LXC containers and 1 VM on my proxmox server and will probably continue the tradition on TrueNAS. They are just so convenient just create one in a minute or two do some stuff and the delete it again. All that with minimal resource usage.

I have a similar dream, but it would be a bit more complicated, I would like TrueNAS to have the Xen stack instead of KVM.
It would be great to have a union of TrueNAS with XCP-ng.

Thanks guys, it was fun, and seems to have turned out fairly well

Maybe we’ll do a follow up some day, and get even deeper into the weeds

Love the thumb
