Hello all,
I wanted to add Pi-Hole to Truenas Scale last week-end, since I have finally a much more configurable routeur.
So I installed it, no problem but I cannot make it filtering my net, so it is “just” a config problem.
So.
- my routeur is on IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.1
- Truenas scale is on IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.52, interface enp3s0
- Pi-Hole is accessible on xxx.xxx.xxx.52:20720.
- If I go in Pi-Hole settings
- Primary IP Address : xxx.xxx.xxx.52 @ enp3s0
- DHCP: nothing
- in the tools → Pi-Hole diagnosis, I get 2 errors
“Error in NTP server:
Cannot bind to IPv4 address 0.0.0.0:123 (Address in use), IPv4 NTP server not available”
“Error in NTP server:
Cannot bind to IPv6 address :::123 (Address in use), IPv6 NTP server not available”
What I tried (and I remembered)
- I tried in my routeur to simply indicate my Truenas scale IP as DNS, but that changed nothing.
- I went to Github Truenas App, and someone told me to “host my network”, So in the config of Pi-Hole in Truenas scale, I simply indicated the interface but that did not change a thing.
Can you explain to me what I do wrong?
And of course, my knowledge in network is… growing. I come from a different field so I learnt when I can.
