Core to Scale? Should I? What is today's conventional wisdom?

OK, I know this topic has been neaten up.,.. and I have googled and searched here… Only answers I can find are a year or more older… so checking in today on what the conventional wisdom is..
Running CORE.. runs perfect.. I only run a files server (I’m a photographer) and PLEX
That’s it…
I think the answer is no there is no need
But is there any reason I should or need to migrate over the Scale??

Don’t plan on really doing anything else…

Thanks

Supermicro X11SSM-F-O LGA1151

Intel Xeon E3-1270 v6 SR326 3.80GHz 8MB Quad Core
32gb Ram
240Gb SSD boot drive
5 x 8tb Drives for main pool

With your usecase i’d say there’s no pressing reason for you to update.
But you should be aware that core won’t get updates anymore, apart from maybe security related fixes. In the near future the jail support for the bsd version core uses stops and you won’t be able to install new jails and propably won’t be able to update your plex jail anymore.

If you’re using geli encryption on your pools you have to migrate your data to native zfs encryption because scale doesn’t suppor geli.
