one of my custom apps, (devlikeapro/waha) will not update from 1.2.8 to 1.2.14
There is no log to find about the update
the custom app itself has no updates. So it is only the truenas wrapper (orso)
Where can I find more info over failing this kind off updates?
Did you use the custom app wizard to set that app up or did you use the custom yaml function?
Which tag did you use in both cases? latest or a fixed version?
The tag is latest. I don’t remember if I used custom app or yaml. I do have the possibilty to convert to custom app. Not sure if that helps.
The app itself has been updated a few times by the standard truenas process.
It is the truenas docker (wrapper?) bit that does not update, so I have the constant info that there is an update. All other apps update without issue.
Which version of truenas are you using? 25.04.1/2 or a newer version of 25.04 or 25.10.
If you’re still on 25.04.1/2 it may be because of that June 1st deadline because they introduced new features to that “wrapper” which are incompatible to update after june 1st (just a very wild and speculative guess)
I’d say if it’s the truenas bit of the app that doesn’t update file a bug report on the truenas github.
I am happy to say I am running 25.10
I will try to convert to custom app and see what happens. If no succes, I will file a bug.

I have had this exact issue for awhile now. Shows up on 3 separate machines, and affects all my various apps that were installd via the truenas custom app wrapper (custom apps installed via yaml are not affected). Happy to provide logs or anything that would help if you point me in the direction of what’s needed.

…and by “awhile,” I just mean since the 1.2.14 update came out. All previous updates worked fine, and my custom apps are on 1.2.13 currently.

I think this is the apps github and the version numbers look very different:
2025.11.1 is marked latest.

I’ve the same issue that my custom apps shows available update even if I update them.

Same here - I’ve got 3 custom apps showing as having updates available. They seem to start the update process, but when “complete”, they still show the same version and say they have updates…
It may have been closed because they expect to file issues with the apps on github in the apps section. Has anyone filed a bug there yet?

It is not clear when it will be available right?
If it really is scheduled for 25.10.1 then it’s sometime in december…

it is 25.10.0.1 i guess/hope this is a bug-release that will come out soon.

I mean, this bug doesn’t have a terribly negative effect, but it’s pretty annoying.
If it’s going to be fixed soon anyway, I’ll just ignore it.
