Custom containers getting removed when application gets deleted

Hi,
I have 9 custom containers that I manually load to the local repository.
I then install them via the “Install via YAML” functionality.
No issues so far…

Running ElectricEel-24.10.1

But, when I want to amend the YAML file once it is started, I just get the name of the custom app which cannot be changed, and no YAML content.

Then if I delete the application via the GUI, it then deletes the container from the local repository.
That should not really be happening, as it means I have to manually load the container.

Obviously, once the Apps are running smoothly that will not be an issue, but irritating when trying to develop them.

This is simply the way that it works. The custom yaml option just doesn’t work very well at all. I advise installing Dockge and installing your custom apps through there until they can completely rework the custom yaml option in TN.

Fair enough, thanks for the response.

This shouldn’t be the case. For example, I just tested this with a YAML Custom App on 24.10.2

Maybe try upgrading to 24.10.2 to see if that helps, since I don’t have a 24.10.1 install to test on at the moment, but you definitely should be able to edit the existing YAML.

I think there is a refresh isssue here, if you refresh the apps page and then open the edit does it show?

I upgraded to 24.10.2 this morning, and the YAML is now getting displayed.

Thanks all for your contributions.

Apologies @ABAIN, I did not try the refresh on the 24.10.1 version.

I’ve never had this issue with 24.10.1 (or previous EE releases).
