Digital Membership Card System with Secure Integration and Virtualization Support

Hello everyone, I am currently developing a system focused on a emembership card solution for large organizations with an emphasis on scalability and secure integration.

The system is being designed to support:

  1. Visitor management + membership card issuance
  2. Large enterprise / multi-location organization usage
  3. Secure API-based integration with existing systems
  4. Centralized data storage for member data management
  5. Virtualization-based deployment for flexible scaling and isolation

The idea is similar to platforms like Membership Anywhere, but with a stronger focus on security, integration reliability, and enterprise scalability around the digital membership card workflow.

Use case includes:

  1. Corporate organizations
  2. Institutional campuses
  3. Healthcare and research environments
  4. Multi-branch membership-based systems

I am looking for suggestions on:

  1. Best practices for secure data storage
  2. Virtualization strategy for scalable deployment
  3. Integration approaches for enterprise systems handling a digital membership card system

Any feedback or guidance would be really helpful.

This sounds almost identical to this question:

I don’t really see how that thread, or this one, have anything to do with TrueNAS, though.

Vdev layout, backup strategy, multi site data replication, number of nodes, site to site network connection.

But I will agree that it is more of a programming question than an infrastructure one.
