Enclosure Layout and Hardware Inventory

I don’t know if these should be filed as Feature Requests, or in case of Enclosures, possible bug report. I’ll start with Enclosures.

When configuring the layout for enclosures, one option not available is Bottom to Top, Left to Right. What I mean is:

| 4 | 8 | 12 | 16 |

| 3 | 7 | 11 | 15 |

| 2 | 6 | 10 | 14 |

| 1 | 5 | 9 | 13 |

I understand you can lay the actual drives to the actual bay, but still feel this should be corrected/added.

The Hardware Inventory page does not show any information if it’s detected TrueNAS is being run virtualized. But I feel if the VM has things passed through (HBA, NIC, GPU) then it should appear in Inventory. Considering the number of users who use TrueNAS virtualized with hardware passed through, this could be useful.

Please me more descriptive in what hardware you are running, and what version of TrueNAS you are using. The describe exactly what you are doing. If this is a new feature in TrueNAS, I’d like to know where it is so I can check it out.

I’d recommend raising a feature request, please make sure TrueNAS connect is in the title of the request.
