Hi everyone, I just saw that one my pools has an issue (it still works) but I would like to run a smart test and every time I run a smart test I get this error. Any idea? I’ve checked other posts but I found nothing similar to my issue [image]

Oh thank you guys @GreymatterPrison and @oxyde for the amount of knowledge! Will we get a an update of smarttools sooner or later in some truenas versions? It seems odd to me to run a script to perform tests on nvme since I think many users use them nowadays

according to this , should be on EEL already (or soon)

I am on EE RC2 and I have this issue haha. I hope they will update it with the release (but I think it won’t at this point)

Truenas 24.04 and later already has smartmontools 7.4, however the GUI does not support scheduled nvme testing. EE does have the scheduling as i recall. I’m on travel now, can’t check.

Don’t know if change has been made, but i facing same issue on launch smart test from GUI in core.
I resolved with @joeschmuck help here
