I had a mirror set on 2 500GB WD drives. One drive died. Since I didn’t have another 500 to replace it, I replaced it with a 3TB drive I had. It resilvered just fine…Well the other 500 of the mirror died. (never buy used drives). I replaced it with another 3TB I had and it resilvered. So I now have 2 3TB drives in a mirror that was a 500GB mirror. The question is can I somehow expand that mirror to where it thinks it is a 3TB mirror instead of a 500GB mirror?
At a shell prompt, check zpool get autoexpand. Sounds like yours is set to off otherwise the pool would’ve expanded itself already.
Pretty sure turning it on is all you need but I’ll let someone else who does this more often step in…
In the UI, goto Storage and the vdev and click the Expand button.

There is no Expand only Extend and Extend asks for a new drive to be added.

OK, I figured it out. On the pool in question there is an expand button that does exactly that. I was looking at the extend button.
