I noticed that my Veeam backups to this server (Dell PowerEdge R350, boot partition on BOSS Card with 2 SSDs in RAID0, and 4x 2TB HDD JBODs in RAIDZ format, stopped responding to SMB requests. I logged in, and everything looked OK, so I rebooted it. Now, when it boots, it gets to where the screenshot is, pauses for 15-30 seconds, then reboots. The boot loop continues even after completely powering off the device and powering it back on. iDRAC sees all the drives, and all tests are good. All drivers are up-to-date.
I’m about to nuke and repave, but I don’t have a recent backup of the config (not a huge deal), so I thought I’d see if there is a simple and/or quick fix for this, before I rebuild the server.
