Fangtooth No internet on VM

Hello Everyone,

I’m currently experiencing an issue with my VM setup. This is an older VM that I needed to get working on EEL. Unfortunately, I updated to Fangtooth before reading the migration guide for VMs.

After some effort, I managed to get the VM running again, but now it has no internet connectivity at all. I’ve tried multiple troubleshooting steps, including setting up both bridged and direct network configurations, and even changing the global configuration to match our local network (192.168.1.0/24), but nothing has worked so far.

I’ve uploaded pictures of the configuration and other relevant details to help illustrate the problem.

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Install Virtio.
Part 6. GUIDE: How to install/migrate Windows VM to Fangtooth/Incus using Virtio drivers

so i did this just to confirm manually loaded them and updated infra

still nothing

Oh, so this is Linux guest. My mistake.
In that case I don’t know.

all good thank you for the attempt!

What i have done in my ubutu 24.04 instance:

open VNC session to your instance
Then sudo nano /etc/netplan/50-cloud-init.yaml
Replace legacy name of ethernet interface (like enp0 or something) with your current enp5s0
Save(ctrl-o enter ctrl-x), reboot.
That helped for me at least.

That fixed me thank you!
i had to use the config that was there 00-installer-config.yaml and it worked!
