If I login as ‘truenas_admin’ then all files and folders have ‘truenas_admin’ as owner and group.
If I login as ‘Tank’ then all files and folders have 'Tank as owner and group.
This makes it difficult to know who owns what yet alone make permissions changes.
For example: I’m logged in as ‘truenas_admin’ and have Folder 1 (created by ‘truenas_admin’ > Folder 2 (created by Tank) but both Folder 1 and Folder 2 have Tank as owner and group. I can change Folder 1’s permissions (truenas_admin) but not folder 2. The reverse is the same.
This also applies to Datasets and not just files and folders.
This can’t be normal?
