FYI: Docker Lyrion Music Server and Spotty

You might already know this, or resolved in a better/easier way etc. But I searched for many hours and hope I might give a quick pointer to those who follow…

Problem: My setup of (LMS) now Lyrion Music Server, depends fairly heavily on Spotty/Spotify integration. With migration to Electric Eel and Docker I needed to match this, but struggled to find any way forward.

My Solution (Caveat Emptor):

Install Lyrion in Docker in a standard way.
Fire up Lyrion and get it working in a “local fashion”
Add Plug in for Spotty
** I couldn’t authenticate whatever I tried **
So I used the following link and pasted it into the additional repository line in the manage plugins page of Lyrion. Save and refresh
Go to the Spotty Config page and a web authentication button will appear at the top of the page, and you can now authenticate against Spotify
Bingo

Important Caveat
Note, this solution Disables Spotify Connect, This is a feature of this workaround and the developer (Michael Herger) says he will work on it when he gets time
I’m just pleased to get this part working,

Hope this helps someone…
