Just thought i’d try out the new beta on my backup system. I only turn this one on, to sync with my main nas (still on fangtooth) every so often, and it only has “syncthing” installed.
So when i initially booted (while still on fangtooth) had no errors, then installed the beta, and upon reboot got these alerts:
Anyone else experience this issue? could there be a reporting issue/bug? it is afterall a beta
I should also add, ive cleared the errors several times, and rebooted the system, and the error just keeps returning

I’m seeing the same issue with a fresh install of Goldeneye beta.
They removed the SMART service from Goldeneye (NAS-135020) but didn’t put anywhere in the GUI to set the Warning/Critical/Diffrence threshholds (at lease nothing I can find). I’ve tried manually adding threshholds in /etc/smartd.conf by adding lines for each device but I’m still getting the errors. e.g. /dev/sda -a -d sat -W 40,45,50
was thinking about opening a ticket…
Wth, why on earth would they remove SMART, on a NAS no less?! Some of the decisions really are baffling at times. Well thanks for reporting, now i have confirmation its not just me, i will report it too
It does seem a bit wierd. I usually use multi-report with its smart test scheduling - but I have turned off the smart tests and just report what is going on. I want to see what TN does with smart tests over the next few weeks and multi-report will tell me when and what the last test was.
Currently all disks ran a short test today - so everything is at zero
Same problem.
Disk-reporting does not work at all.
“Pool”-tile does not work.
Disk temp errors from 5 of 6 disks on e-mail.
Running TrueNAS as a vm in ESXi/HBA-card.
Anyone know how to report this issue, just tried from the UI and returns a error, saying experimental version, not allowed???

TrueNAS is now filling up my email with temperature error reports
