I have tried this route, assigning to the custom admin nor the ownership of a dataset and an ACL with full control, but the issue persists.
Btw most datasets have root as group, and i also add the user to this group.
Also this not explain (at least for me) why the same user can access to all datasets if he want push nor to the same system or another without issue… Just sayng because what I should expect Is the same behaviour on both case (i mean, access denied or access granted)
I think you can report a bug with this.
SCALE to SCALE Pull not working
Using truenas_admin account
Having permission set
Its reproducable and diagnosable… and you seem to have covered all the bases.
I can’t see anything in our bug database. Please post the ticket number so I can track.
Thanks for the support.
Ticket NAS-132802.
Already uploaded dump and all info from threads.
During posting the screenshots i have forgot to hide my email address on the second image i can’t remove, if you can do something will be apreciated
I’ve removed the public screenshot and uploaded it to the private file upload service so only devs will have access to that screenshot, if needed.
I’m sorry to have open a ticket about and let pepole lose time… but i finally understand what was happening.
That was really an ACL issue, but on the HOME DIRECTORY of the new user.
Yesterday i play a bit with all ACL (honestly, was a really mess, acl inherithed from Core Jails make a lot of bug on the GUI).
After apply some recursive, I realized logging to shell, that the user has problem to chdir his home folder; giving himnew acl access on this dataset, also the PULL working from the other system!
I have write in the ticket, hoping i’m still in time
Thanks for finding and reporting…
While you didn’t find a bug, its useful to know how difficult it was to troubleshoot.
Perhaps a few other people will find this solution and save some hours.
