trunenas ver is 25.10.0

Do you have a recent backup of your config files?

do you mean snapshot ,if you are mentioning about snapshot ,yeah i established a new one yesterday

I mean the truenas config files, not snapshots. Snapshots are your data, the config files let you reinstall truenas without having to reconfig. When you update you are prompted to save them.

omg , then i probably dont have that . is there any other solution that may help with my situation ,thankyou.

Before the system starts can you select an older version? It will look like a list of truenas versions that appears while the system boots but before trueNAS starts loading.

The good news is your data is probably OK, you just need to get TrueNAS running again. Worst case reinstall TrueNAS and very carefully reconfig to get your pool online again.

If booting into the previous version doesn’t fix it then wait for others to offer ideas. You want to be careful not to get excited making changes that could break the pool.

I will try and keep your suggestion in mind . really appreciate for your help .

What version of TrueNAS are you running and how much RAM do you have? Also, your title needs more info other than “im crying.”

If you don’t have a backup from System->General Settings->Manage Configuration you need to grab a cup of Joe and some Kleenex ® for those tears and read the docs while you reinstall and reconfigure your system.

It might also help if you explain how your system is setup. What’s your drive setup (data and boot) etc?

Fair request indeed. But here it looks like the boot drive is failing, hence the question about having saved the configuration to reinstall (and the impossibility of saving one NOW)

In the worst case, you’ll reinstall on a new boot drive, import the pool and recreate your users and share settings. But your data should be fine.

I think the worst case would be that the data was key encrypted and that the key wasn’t backed up.

Hopefully that isn’t the case.

While perhaps not the same issue, I have had a very similar issue, with those 2 exact services.

Check my thread for any clues perhaps https://forums.truenas.com/t/multiple-issues-half-recovered-now-but-have-question

This is especially relevant if you moved or fiddled with the hardware in any way
