I’m really not sure what all I need to post to explain this issue. I installed a fresh version of 25.04.01 and imported a backup of my Core 13 system around the 20th of July. Today I woke up to an alert that I have over 10k snapshots. When I look at data protection info there are 236 snapshots between my two pools. When I go into the list of snapshots there were 10303. After deleting the no longer needed iocage vdevs I’m down to 6567.
I thought it might be related to what is talked about in a thread from 3 years ago that I’m not allowed to link to called [SCALE] Mass cleanup/removal of ix-applications snapshots solution required on the old forum.
I have the impression that the issue was solved two major releases ago, and trying the commands mentioned did nothing.
How do I keep these snapshots from continuing to go crazy and potentially crash my system? I am currently on 25.04.2
I have a snapshot every three hours for each pool with a 2 week retention. One pool has a daily snapshot related to a replication task, also with a 2 week retention.
