I'm nervous about u/g from EEL to Fangtooth - advice sought please

I see that now might be the time for me to upgrade, because the article says " If you are deploying a new TrueNAS system, we currently recommend TrueNAS 25.04.2.1 for its maturity, Docker integration, and robust validation".

In my case, my concern is mainly focussed on keeping my Frigate app fully functional (which relies on my GPU continuing to work) and an additional bonus which is that USB passthrough might become an option for me in fangtooth, namely “TrueNAS 25.04.1 has lsusb” from another post (thanks @SmallBarky) .

I class myself as a “conservative” rather than “general” home/hobby user; the TrueNAS software status guide still says I should stick with 24.10.2.2 (see Software Status - TrueNAS Roadmap - Open Source NAS Software ) which I think is in contrast to the advice in the blog which is pointing me towards 25.04.2.1.

What do you reckon - should I give it a go now or might I yet risk ending up in the doldrums (due to e.g. my GPU not being properly used)?
