INTEL RES2SV240 SAS Expander question :)

Hello folks

I’m using this kind of SAS expander in my setups : INTEL Expander RES2SV240, that’s a 24 ports expander.

It sports two connectors for drives activity LEDs, J7 and J8, (look at the pic)

BTW, there is NO pinouts for these two connectors anywhere at INTEL or in the card documentation…
I tried to connect leds to this but hasn’t seen it lights up regardless the orientation of the led (+ on the top or on the bottom raw of pins of J7 or J8).

after some researchs I see even Intel doesn’t answer to questions about it (sending you to programmers team that send you back to the customer support sending you back to…)…

so is there some of you all that use these cards and have successfully connected 24 actually working activity LEDs to it ?
If yes what was the pinout you used for the cables used to the LEDs ?

Thanks by advance for the answer

These are not activity LEDs. The manual I found says

J7 - J8

Discrete Fault LED header

2x12 pin header

Connects to external, green or red LEDs that indicate drive faults, two 2x12 headers can support 24 LEDs

you should have read till page 14 :
‘— Provides LEDs that support drive activity, fault, and status indications’
