Hi everyone,
I recently install my new proxmox server and i creat vm with TrueNasScale Dargonfish 24.04.2.2.
My configuration :
i have my boot-pool on the same disk than my proxmox (ssd nvme in mirror 120go).
I’m using 4 hdd in passthrough on my truenas :
2 HDD 4TO (config in Raid 1 on truenas)
2 HDD 12TO (config in Raid 0 on truenas)
Everything’s working… i’m enjoying my life, watching plex, SMB works perfectly, users, dataset with acl permissions, ZFS and Scrub scan are always online and clear (its not my first time with truenas installation). but…
Tomorrow i update my truenas system on new version TrueNAS-24.04.2.2 → TrueNAS-24.04.2.3.
when update was done my system reboot. I arrive in GRUB, my system try to boot on last version but i have message error ……
I come back in GRUB and i try differents options :
I try :
-
v 24.04.2.3-2 : kernel panic
-
v 24.04.2.3-1 : kernel panic
-
v 24.04.2.3 :
I write « exit » and again kernel panic -
v 24.04.2.2 : i can acces to my truenas (without last update).
I try lot of things : -
umount my 4 disks in passthrough, apply pending update but not working.
-
I update grub with grub-update, nothing change.
-
Idk how initramfs work but i saw on google « fsck -y /dev/sdX » command, i try in busybox. nothing happen, always error kernel
-
I try « update-initramfs -u » but i have this message :
ln: failed to create hard link ‘/boot/initrd.img-6.6.32-production+truenas.dpkg-bak’: Read-only file system cp: cannot create regular file ‘/boot/initrd.img-6.6.32-production+truenas.dpkg-bak’: Read-only file system. -
and many other things I have tried.
right now I’m looking for a solution so that my boot-pool is not read-only so that I can do an “update-initramfs -u” but I’m not really sure that I’m on the right track…
thx for ur help, my english is not perfect so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
