after a research a command for Scale using smartctl that work for me is
sudo smartctl -n standby /dev/***
truenas% sudo smartctl -n standby /dev/sdd
smartctl 7.4 2023-08-01 r5530 [x86_64-linux-6.6.44-production+truenas] (local build)
Copyright (C) 2002-23, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, www.smartmontools.orgDevice is in ACTIVE or IDLE mode
instead sudo hdparm -C /dev/***
not working for me.
Also check this thread, here a guy was experiencind an unwanted spindown with proxmox. Watching your smart test not seems to see a lot of start/stop count, instead temp are not so good, and a lot of raw read error /seek error rate are raised
