I’m excited to try building my first NAS and am looking at TrueNAS.
I’m lookiing for recommendations. I’m looking to build a NAS that is accessible online and uses google authenticator as an added level of security to the data files.
Which OS do I need for that? THe TrueNAS core, or scale? OR is this product not what I want?

forgot to mention, I’m setting this up as a RAID1 configuration with two sets of drives. One for system backups between the different machines, and the other for data storage.
Since we have no idea what your requirements are, it is hard to give you a recommendation. First, you need to familiarize yourself with Truenas and ZFS.
