LSI 9207-8e only detecting 1 out of 4 connected HDD

Truenas 25.04.1
Minisforum MS-01 i5-12600H
OS Drive: Kioxia KBG40ZNS128G 128GB nvme ssd (internal)
HBA: LSI 9207-8e
Drives connected via SFF8088 to SFF8087,SFF8087 to 4xSATA
Drives connected to HBA: 1x Seagate Ironwolf 10TB, 1x WD Ultrastar 10TB, 2x Toshiba MG06 10TB, all powered externally from same PSU.

I recently added an LSI 9207-8e to my system and it only detects 1 of the 4 hard drives. The 4 hard drives were verified working on another older Freenas system. Upon booting up the system, before Truenas fully initialises, I get these few lines:

scsi 0:0:0:0: rejecting I/O to offline device
scsi 0:0:1:0: rejecting I/O to offline device
scsi 0:0:2:0: rejecting I/O to offline device
scsi 0:0:3:0: Direct-Access ATA WDC WUS721010AL W9G0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 6

Once Truenas fully boots, I only see the 1 hard drive that wasn’t “rejected”.

I have not found a solution to connecting to the other drives. Could this be a HBA problem?

I have solved my problem. My LSI card was on firmware 16. Updating it to firmware P20 worked for me.

After having difficulty with updating it with the FreeDOS methods I saw on youtube, I followed the UEFI method guide on the serverbuilds forum written by user Mthrboard.

I had to source for the 9702-8e bin file separately as this guide did not have the download link for this card.

After following the UEFI method guide and successfully updating my card, all 4 hard drives were detected and I could import my pool into my new machine.
