TrueNAS Needs to Add Support for Computing Punch Cards!
My dealer offers hard drives with various capacities for HUNDREDS of dollars!
Instead I plan to implement punch cards which can have unlimited storage capacity & are completely resistant to magnetic decay. I’ll still store my ISOs on CMR drives, but bulk files I want on my punch cards. If any cards get lost, I’ll just re-punch the data.
This storage combination will offer serious cost reduction as my punch cards will use no electricity when not in use.
