I imported a data set to a new TrueNAS scale server successfully. Looking at the Datasets on the GUI, a dataset called Cold_Storage has appeared taking up 1.5TB of space which I did not create. Am I ok to delete this dataset or is it important?
I highly suggest you take a look at what’s inside that dataset before you remove it.
ls -al /mnt/nameofyourpool/Cold_Storage or similar, adjusting the path to your situation of course.
Appears to be the remnants of an SSD VDEV based dataset that I did not import to the new server. I do remember setting up a replication task, I guess it’s the remains of that.
