Network Speed stuck at Media Subtype: 1000Mb/s with a 10g dual ethernet card

Hi,

I have a YuanLey 10G Base-T Ethernet Card with Intel X540 network card.

I have a 2.5g router plugged into 1 port of the card and a 5g adapter plugged into the other port on the card. The adapter on my Mac connects to the card at 5g and the router at 2.5g. So from a hardware point of view it is all working. On the UI in Truenas the speed is stuck at 1000mb/s on both interfaces. If I transfer a file through either port, it maxes out at 1000mb/s.

The card is plugged into the bottom 16x PCIe slot so it should be running at 8x speed.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

The Intel datasheet says “10 GbE/1 GbE/100 Mb/s copper PHYs integrated on-chip”

It doesn’t do 2.5 Gbps nor 5 Gbps
