i coming here to ask for help to find what capping my transfer speed

the cable running through my wall is 5e FTP which is connected to 1Gb switch
i played with 6 cat and 5e cat cables that go from my wall to my server still the same result
any help would be appreciated
b.s sorry for my english

Your GUI shows Media Subtype: 100Mbps. You have a bad cable or connection. Check the RJ45 jacks for bent pins, try another port on the router. You can also try a different port on the NIC, if you have more than one.

thank you for the reply
i connect my server directly to the switch and it went up to 1000Mbps
so its most likely the result of me being bad with my hands at crimping the cable that goes through my wall

As strange as it sounds, there are home routers that have 5GHz wifi but only 100Mbps ethernet ports. It could be the case.

Wow really? I would think getting new 100Mbps gear would be more expensive these days vs new 1Gbps, cause I’m not sure if they still even make the 100Mbps stuff anymore.

Yeah… Saw it (or the same) at one of my peers.

Also, a few years ago I ordered a dock station for the laptop. Not the cheapest one and not expensive either. About $50-70.
Then, during the upgrade of my lan to 2.5G, I decided to investigate the manual (as I rarely used the dock) with a tiny hope that it had 2.5G. To my big surprise, it has only 100M. Welp, that is an okayish speed for the average user, but the whole situation left me with the feeling that there are at least two clowns – manufacturer and me.
