Nextcloud - Switching to Postgres 17

So, I have Nextcloud installed and running on my TrusNAS system. It’s nice and stable but was installed a while ago when Postgres 13 was the norm. I’ve been getting the message “Postgres 13 is deprecated and will be removed in the near future. Please upgrade.” for a while now but have been just letting it go as it’s been nice and stable.

Now, after reading up on this I just want to make sure of what I believe I need to do. Just edit the Nextcloud app and switch the drop down there from Postgres 13 to Postgres 17 and it will do the upgrade (making sure to backup my Nextcloud Postgres Data Storage location first).

Is this correct or will there be a migration distributed by the app owner?

For anyone finding this thread, the above is the correct approach to upgrade.

Nextcloud version 2.1.0 will not allow upgrading with Postgres version 13 selected.
