Postgres 13 deprecated Nextcloud

Hey there

I think, this should be a short one, but I want to hear another opinion.

The Nextcloud app I run on my Truenas Scale shows the following in the app notes:
“Postgres 13 is deprecated and will be removed in the near future. Please upgrade.”

As far as I could figure out so far, this is not something I can do myself. My research shows that ixSystems should push the postgres update together with a Nextcloud update.

Although a bit odd. If I cannot do anything myself, why should Nextcloud show me this message? And also, Postgres 13 is really old by now. I think I should upgrade sooner than later.

Can anyone more involved in this help me here?

Thanks

My System:

  • TrueNas Version: 25.04.2.1
  • Nextcloud Version: 2.0.25
  • Intel(R) Celeron(R) N5105
  • 2x8Gig RAM
  • 2x8Tb HDD

A little late but I just did this. All you have to do is edit the app settings and select Postgres 17 from the dropdown. Updated and started right up

Hey Jhodry

Thanks for your reply. I found it out myself sometime later. I edited some other things in the settings of Nextcloud when, by chance, I noticed that it was now possible to upgrade to Postgres 17.

The upgrade was fast and painless. The backup procedure before it was pain. But I got it done.

Have a nice day
