Hi, first here are my setups, please let me know if I am missing anything that could help:
NAS 1 - DIY Supermicro X9 based build, Intel G4060, 32GB ram, dual boot ssd, 6x WD HDD, 2x NVME
NAS 2- HP G8 Mini server, single boot SSD, 4x WD HDD
The HP G8 NAS is only used as the target for all my snapshots and replication tasks from NAS 1.
I’ve been running Core on both NAS for many years now, with basically no issues. NAS 1 is primarily just a NAS, but I have also been running Plex on it. For various reasons, I’ve decided to switch to Jellyfin and also move from Core to Scale.
For NAS 2 I updated to the latest version (13.0-U6.8) and then downloaded the config with the passkey and installed a clean copy of Scale. I then uploaded my config file and everything is back up and running with no issues.
With that done and no issues I decided I was good to go and do the same for NAS 1.
Before downloading a config for NAS 1 I deleted the Plex install as I no longer needed it and as far as I know it wouldn’t transfer over to Scale anyway. Once that was done I did everything exactly the same as I did for NAS 2, but I can no longer access the web GUI (with multiple browsers, HTTP, HTTPS).
My shares are accessible though and I can both SSH into the NAS and use the shell via the IPMI connection so I know the NAS is basically operational.
I set the config back to default and I was then able to access the GUI, but obviously I no longer had access to my data. Again after re-uploading the config file, the web GUI is no longer reachable, but I have access to all my data again.
Based on some basic research it seems likely that the issue is the SSL cert, but I have not been able to figure out how to repair that via SSH or Shell.
I don’t believe I set encryption on my datasets, so as a last resort I believe I could just import my data and manually recreate the config… but I’m hoping to avoid that if possible though…
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
TIA
