Forgive me for my post, as I am new to TrueNAS Scale. I am on 24.10.1
On a poweredge r720, dual e5-2650 128gb ECC.
I am attempting to just run jellyfin from the app installation in Scale and utilize hardware encoding using an Nvidia 2070.
I have isolated the GPU in the advanced settings configuration. I was able to get nvidia-smi to finally execute (before running the midctl docker update it did not recognize the command) but it says Nvidia-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIDA driver is installed and running. Doing some research many were able to go the Apps/Configuration/Settings and easily checkbox for installing the Nvidia Drivers. I do not have this option - Screenshot below. Clearly the system sees it as I was able to isolate it, and I can run a lspci and find the device controllers. What can I do to install this driver and finally use it in Jellyfin for hardware transcoding?
Isolating the gpu is for use with vms, If you want to use it for apps, the gpu must not be isolated.
