Passthrough Keyboard and Mouse to VM

I am very new to truenas but have managed to install it on my NAS server as the boot software (for want of a better term). I am running version TrueNAS SCALE 25.04.2.3.

I have managed to deploy filessytems and containers one of which I have managed to share a usb device to a container. I have also been able to deploy a Windows 11 VM and passthrough the GPU to that VM.

I am currently trying to share my USB keyboard and mouse to the VM which is attached via the USB 3.0 port on the server which connects to an external usb hub with the keyboard and mouse connected.

Can anyone help how I might do this, I am a little confused from forum posts. I think I just need to add something under “Virtual Machines” → Device and add a usb passthrough device but I am finding conflicting information about what to do next.

First how do I know which controller type to use? After that how do I know which usb device to select? I have used lsusb with the cable connected and disconnected to try and narrow down the list but I am not sure if this is the best way.
