So I recovered several thousand pictures from an SSD drive with PhotoRec. Now I have the data in a RAIDZ2 configuration in TrueNas. I would like to separate the pictures, as many of them are duplicates or garbage (irrelevant app thumbnails)
I would like to use preferably AI for this task because of the huge number (~167000)
Can Immich do this ?
i think the basic immich ( without the AI addon ) will detected duplicates on its file hash. if the same pictures exists eg. Original vs. WhatsApp (sent/recieve ) AI might be required.
Yeah that’s right. I could also use czwawka in a mounted NFS partition to find duplicates. Can Immich categorize the pictures?
yes. you can search for context eg. “sun” or “cat” etc.

I am very pleased with immich, especially that it allows autom. uploading from mobile and has Android TV App for showcasing/slideshow etc
