Plex stuck on deploying after updating

Hello guys,

Issue with my plex on trunas TrueNAS-SCALE-24.10.2.2.
After many reboot and shutdown, I’m overwhelmed and I need your help.

My issue:
On plex 1.41.7.9823-59f304c16 Version 1.2.2 installed by trunas app center, the app stay blocked to deploy status, with they logs :

The problem first appeared this morning, but I haven’t done anything. I’m assuming it’s just a crash, but then the app refuses to restart. I’ve tried updating the app, but the problem persists.

If anyone will has an idea, i will get it.

Looking at your logs & comparing them to mine (also on Truenas 24.10.2.2, also on same version of Plex), I see no difference… except my Plex is working & yours is not. Whatever the issue is, I don’t think the log output is helpful. Any other details you can provide?

Did you try to unset the app pool, refresh app catalogue, and re-set the app pool?

*only slight differences I see is that you went from having 0% of the update to 100% of the update in a single increment, while I downloaded it in parts… which doesn’t outright indicate a fault imo.

You can also try to rollback the update & try to install it again.

I have rollback to 1.1.1 and it’s work.
I will test next update if my issue appear again.

Thanks you for this tips, i didn’t think to rollback the app.

I had the same issue with my plex and same logs, I am however just running 25.04.1.
When I went to the plex URL (http://IP:32400/web) in my browser I (in the deployed but not working state) it showed an xml output indicating that it was migrating the plex database and I needed to wait.

I left it overnight and it has been up and running first thing when I looked this morning. (I went to sleep and didn’t sit up to monitor how long it took, sorry)
