@HoneyBadger I don’t want to overload you BUT… there have been quite a few threads about loosing a pool after an update/sidegrade to 24.10 or 25.04. It would be somewhat reassuring if there could be a common root cause—like unsolved issues with the disk partitioning code since iX removed the swap partition and buffer.
I just upgraded from Core to Scale and have lost all of my data pools and data sets. I tried importing without any sucess when i run sudo zpool status -v i can see 3 pools however i can’t see the largest pool i had. if i run lsblk i can see all of my drives. i don’t have a backup of the data that was in that pool. any assistance would be helpful

well, I messed something up and after I upgraded to SCALE one of my pools got somehow corrupted and I cannot bring it back online.
I had 2 pools, TrueNAS and temp-share.
temp-share is online, 1 disk, no mirror.
TrueNAS is offliine, 2 disks, mirrored.
Storage tab shows TrueNAS pool as offline with no disks attached to it. There are 2 unassigned disks.

On May 19, 2025 my TRUNAS became unresponsive and when I tried to reboot the boot would fail and try again in an endless boot loop

Hi all! I am new here and know just enough about TrueNAS to be dangerous… I set up my NAS a little less than 2 years ago and it’s been running great.
The other day I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the latest version of TrueNAS 25.04.0.
