Possible to backup to Unifi UNAS Pro?

I was able to copy all of my files to my UNAS Pro. I will use it a file server but instead of me coping all 1.5TB to my UNAS Pro, how can I setup a backup task in TrueNAS to do this automatically?

TrueNAS scale electric eel 24.10.2.

You can do it with rsync (I backup to an old synology that way). UNAS doesnt use ZFS so you cant do replication and unless you have something that emulates S3, you cant you cloud backup.

Can you post a picture of your TrueNAS scale Rsync page?

Hi @Theo or anyone else with the know-how… still very new to SSH and command-line stuff. Please could someone help me understand how I an set up the SSH keys between my TrueNAS and my UNAS Pro to achieve the same use-case as the OP (backing my TrueNAS to my UNAS Pro via rsync)? TrueNAS to TrueNAS replication was easy as it handled the SSH bit automatically.
Many thanks,
Jonathan

Did you try following these sections? Was there someplace you were getting stuck or it was unclear? You can give doc feedback with a blue button on the right side of those pages. You might have to expand some sections like ‘Adding a connection to a non-TrueNAS remote host system’
