Does anyone mind if I start a bugs thread for Goldeye. Issues not seen in Fangtooth.
The top menu bar disappears seemingly behind the browser (Safari) tab bar. Tried purging cache. Tried shift redraw. Switched panels. Not seen on Fangtooth. Restarting the browser usually solves it.
The network interfaces will randomly stop passing traffic despite showing green. Only rebooting TrueNAS seems to restore function. Rebooting the VM’s has no effect. Never seen on Fangtooth.
The interface on the main dashboard goes crazy and seems to refresh multiple times per second. So the graphs jump around like crazy. Changing to another panel and back to main restores normal behavior. Not seen on Fangtooth.
TrueNAS randomly decided to remove one of my boot pool NVMe drives. The drive had to be reformatted elsewhere to be reused, but nothing seems to be wrong with the drive.
I’d think all these should be accompanied by links to bug reports on Jira–link is at the top of the page.
Unless any of these are validated by more than one person I don’t see the point in reporting as a bug. That’s the point of the thread. I agree that links to bug reports should appear here if any are reported.
The local display has stopped working. After the RAM disk shows loading the display goes dark and the text menu is never seen. TrueNAS is fully functional from a browser. This seems to have happened for no obvious reason. No changed were made to BIOS or TrueNAS.
I randomly get giant refresh symbols on most of the dashboard boxes and I can’t recreate it
Same here
I’ve had a large replication job that in the Jobs Page looked like it hung at 22% but I could tell that it was still working by examining the dataset size grow over time.
I would also like to have a stop button in the web GUI for running rsync and replication tasks.
Developers do NOT browse the forum, but do process bug reports. Unless you file bug reports I do not see a point in this thread.
I also think @mntbighker there might be something off with your system and/or installation. That many bugs that few or even no other people seem to have are very weird.
The point was to identify what issues may be common.
Even weirder since I had no such issues on Fangtooth. Not sure if it relates to upgrade vs fresh install.
I’ve had some rando bugs fixed with a fresh install & reload of config in the past. Might be worth a try & then if not a few bug reports otherwise.
I had a very weird issue on Fangtooth which made TrueNAS basically unusable for me - was the only one and seemed to have to do with the kernel version. Goldeye works fine again. Maybe you have something similar.
