Quota Exceeded On DataSet after uploading a lot of files at once

I keep getting the following alert every few minutes after I started uploading a bunch of file (1000s images and videos through Immich).

Quota exceeded on dataset Alpha-Pool/.system/cores. Used 97.51% (998.52 MiB of 1 GiB).

The percentage jumps back and forth between 75% to 97%.

What does this mean? Can I fix it by increasing the quota?

I think I found my problem after reading this thread: Quota exceeded on dataset <...>/.system/cores - #11 by awalkerix

I have the Immich app running and enabled the CUDA GPU AI thing, but I don’t have a GPU with CUDA support so the Immich was throwing exception. This got exponentially worse when I uploaded a bunch of images.

I’ve disable the CUDA AI stuff and deleted all files in /var/db/system/cores. So far no more warning messages about quotas.

Dumping core is more severe than an exception. This sounds like a design issue with the program.

Very true, but I don’t know the inner working of Immich so it was my mistake to jump to that conclusion. I just know that after changing the app’s setting, the app’s log didn’t have any more exception, and the core dump disappeared.
