Hey guys, I’m preparing a video to demystify things around TrueNAS and ZFS, but one of the things I’m having a hard time figuring out is the TRUE minimum memory, more specifically for the system to work (even if it won’t be a performant machine) or that ZFS requires to actually function.
Looking at TrueNAS docs, they suggest around 8GB of RAM TrueNAS Hardware Guide | TrueNAS Documentation Hub
Looking at ZFS docs, they say at least 8GB for best performance, but it’s possible to run it with 2GB or less FAQ — OpenZFS documentation (I know this is not the whole TrueNAS system, of course).
How do you guys see it?
