Looks like RAM is next to feel the market pressures, this time driven by hungry AI datacenters.

Brace yourselves for RAM prices to only keep getting more expensive, which had already started recently. :pensive_face:

The good news is that you can find out how to make a mean casserole with leftover ingredients in your fridge, and it only will evaporate an entire lake to do it! :smiley:

What I just heard was it is time to invest in RAM chip manufacturers. Let it grow for a year and Sell! Buy in for $1000 and sell 1 year later for $1 Million. Interesting idea. So long as it isn’t bitcoin or some other baseless high risk currency.

I also have 64GB of ECC RAM for sale, comes with a motherboard and CPU for free :slight_smile:

Looks like a fair offer, but I wonder if it would look an even better deal if you said that you have a (vastly overpriced) board + CPU to sell… and RAM then comes “for free”. Twisted psy’ op’ and all that.

I have about 20 - 25 sticks of RAM laying around… Should i think about to remove gold-jewels from safe and put them instead??

Jokes apart, i always see only mentioned that DDR4-5 are impacted, but Is not true, also DDR3 are so stupidly expensive: from an AVG of 12~15€ for a 16gb kit now Is hard to find something belove 40€…

Imagine my face just 10-15 days ago when i realised that 1 of the 2 sticks of the bk server fails. Fool replacement price bring me to explore the repair way :smile:
