Remote spice connect w/virt-viewer

I’m on release 25.04.3. I have a virtual machine and have issues with the web based spice viewer. The display lag pretty bad and if i navigate to other tabs and come back a couple minutes it doesn’t respond to any mouse clicks and I have to reestablish connection.

I’d like to try virt-viewer spice://nas:5900 but it says a vm is not running. The vm display port is 5900

Anyone with similar issues?

I installed x11vnc on the vm and it works great. I know spice can work well, but i’m not sure whats up with the web view.

Having the exact same issues sadly. Any luck figuring out a solution? I’m not far behind on 25.04.2.6, and using virt-viewer on Mac and Linux. I want to say I had luck with this before the most recent updates…but I only just started using so I don’t totally recall.

EDIT: I figured out my issue with connecting remotely (at least on my Mac, haven’t tried Linux yet), is that I was originally using the remote-viewer command, not virt-viewer. But I still have the same issue with the web losing control after no time at all it seems. That’s what led me to pursue a SPICE client to get around that issue.

No but I wish I could get the spice client to work. are you doing virt-viewer spice://nas:5900 or something else?

For the time being ive installed vncserver in the vm

Om my Mac I use this: remote-viewer spice://10.19.13.10:5906
